Cakebread Cellars

Dancing Bear Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2012

Really great. Needs about 3 hours of air. So well balanced. A lot of cocoa, blackberry, garden dirt, some tree bark, some chocolate cherries, but very dark, some menthol in the background, long finish, almost coffee and cocoa, some fruits as well. Outstanding! — 3 months ago

Pursued by Bear

Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

This is, excuse me, a damn fine bottle of wine.

Worn leather, cigar smoke, and vanilla on the nose. Intense palate of overripe blackberry and cassis. Powerful but well integrated oak. Very long, complex finish.

Drank while watching a fan edit of Fire Walk With Me. Needs a solid decant.

Gap's Crown Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020

Pure black cherry fruit complemented by earth and forest floor. A medium plus palate with great roundness without excessive richness at 13.5% ABV. This is a cooler climate site and definitely a favorite of mine. — a month ago

A property I have visited & still have in my collection.

A well made Oregon Pinot. Just moved past this extracted & slightly sweeter style. My palate just doesn’t enjoy it as much these days.
