Baron De La Charrière

Baron De Taste

Réserve Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

Nose: pepper, raspberry, cherry, light fragrant wood, orange peel, slight clove.

Taste: simple, but elegant and well made. Medium weight. Bitter olive, restrained tannins that linger and turn into green herbs (oregano? And others). Restrained sweet vanilla (almost like banana). The red fruit is in the background. This is good. 90.

Reserva Escudo Rojo Syrah 2019

Nose and pallet are both full of ripe black fruit with subtle hints of oak, black licorice, beef jerky and black pepper. Smooth tannins and a bit of a creamy texture. Full bodied and powerful. — 18 days ago

Baron de Boutisse

Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

I drank this wine for over 6 days, initially it was too acidic and unbalanced. I first had this wine two years ago I think and thought it needed some more time. The longer it was open the better it got! Blackberry, mulberry dark fruits, little Smokey, tannin still holding up. Nice dry long finish. Love it. I have one more and am going to try it again in two or three years. — 22 days ago

Baronesa P. Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2019

Delectable Wine

The 2019 Baronesa P. is a combination of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot, 6% Carménère, 5% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Franc from the Maipo Valley, aged for 15 months in 60% new barrels. Garnet red in color. The complex nose is dominated by the oak, displaying notes of cedar and pencil box, dark fruit aromas and a whiff of thyme. On the palate, the flavors are intense with taut but polished tannins. Broad and long-lasting with an oaky backdrop, this grows more profound when decanted. One to keep. Château de Montfaucon

Côtes du Rhône 2010

Medium-dark purple, rich dark fruits, terrific CdR, balanced, medium-long finish, a lot of this best juice in this wine now goes into the Montfaucon Lirac (not Baron Louis), at the early stage of hitting its maturity. — 7 days ago
