2021 vintage. Last tasted 2.11.26 (8.9). This has picked up serious steam in the last 6 months as it was tasted under similar circumstances. Medium body. Spicy, acidic intro that softened (somewhat) after contemplation. Earth, acidity, fruit, tannins, tar, tobacco...some "pop" for those that want some grip but not too frightening for Barolo newbs. 8.26.26. — 10 days ago

Ezio Poggio ‘Archetipo’ Colli Tortonesi “Terre di Libarna” Timorasso 2018: Medium body. Fragrant floral nose. Racy acidity. Lemon. Green apple. Slate. Dry crisp finish. This was my first experience with the almost extinct Piemontese Timorasso grape but definitely not my last! Such a delicious, refreshing and beautiful wine! Stewed prunes white pepper cedar, newer oak vanillins. Face melting tannins, blacker pepper and plums in the mouth, more perfume. Not much concentration perhaps why there is some montepulciano in the blend, so I'd be tempted to say drink now. I love it, but its kinky with the tannins. Not for everyone. — 7 years ago
