Stewed prunes white pepper cedar, newer oak vanillins. Face melting tannins, blacker pepper and plums in the mouth, more perfume. Not much concentration perhaps why there is some montepulciano in the blend, so I'd be tempted to say drink now. I love it, but its kinky with the tannins. Not for everyone.

Jul 21st, 2019Nero di troia blended with local varietals.
Distinct, yet difficult-to- describe taste. Sour cherries, medium tannins, medium body, not dry. The finish is moderate.
Clean, balanced, good overall red.

Nov 7th, 2018Good reminder that I should drink more Nero di Troia. Dark ruby. Cherry, herbs and some licorice on the nose. Medium+ in body with nice dark fruits and enough acidity to keep it focused. Fine grained tannins and medium+ length that carries nice dark berries and cherry notes. Fabulous wine with grilled flank steak.
