Quite pale ruby . Very fresh and red fruited , red currant , cranberry , with fresh herbs , sage , thyme , quite enticing and aromatic. Very refined red fruit on the palate , elegant and fruit forward , with some wet slate . Quite light tannins , and fresh acidity . Good red cherry stained , herbal finish . Good for drinking now but will last well over the next 5 or so years. At Vinous Icons NY , Pier 60 , Feb 2025 — 5 months ago
Blend of Sangiovese Grosso (95%-Special Clone) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%). Dark ruby color that fades a bit on the rim. Aromas of ripe red berry fruit, mint, rose petals and wet soil. Flavors of red plum, cherry, raspberry, mushroom and basil. Touch of smoke on the long and lingering finish. Medium-plus acidity, velvety tannins and firm structure. Well balanced. Crowd pleaser. — 14 days ago
The 2022 vintage Fiano di Avellino from Ciropicariello starts with a rich straw-almost golden color to the eyes and unfolds in time on the nose with abundant floral notes and hints of honey. With a chance to breathe the palate evolves into a surprisingly mouth-coating viscosity that’s held together by its mineral driven heart. It’s a fuller-bodied example of the grape than what I’ve come across before and it earns it. — 4 months ago

Ah, an old favorite jumped off the wine list to us….the perfect accompaniment to truffle tagliatelle! 😋
Tasting notes: 18 years old but could still age much longer, smooth, fresh red fruits (jammy) but a touch leathery/chewy towards the end of the bottle. — 8 days ago
