What a saga to get this delivered to me in NJ. Worth it. Love Andre Mack. Love his winery. Love this wine. — 3 years ago
Nose of cranberry, cherry candy, black pepper and mint(?). Bright and juicy on the palate with tart red fruits and a touch of spice. Good acidity and a kiss of tannins.
Just what the doctor ordered for a summertime red. Lovely stuff. — 3 years ago
Estate dates back to Crusades & Scottish navigator, George Smith, owner in the 18th century. Followed by M. Duffour-Dubergier, Mayor of Bordeaux, then Louis Eschenauer, a famous wine shipper. In 1990, Daniel & Florence Cathiard now own estate. Blend of 60% Cab Sauv & 40% Merlot, dark berry aromas, herbs and earthy spice. On the complex palate flavors of cherry and currant with pepper, tobacco and cacao notes. Soft ripe tannins, long finish ending with an earthy mineral character. — 2 months ago
A little toward the semi-sweet but still a crispness and great lychee fruit throughout. — 3 years ago
One of the more accessible and expressive 05’s I’ve had in a while, Cathiard’s Vosne-esque Aux Murgers is open and giving wafting perfumed and spice laced dark berry fruit with violets, black tea and damp earth. The palate is pure silk, elegant and seductive, perhaps even belying the burly vintage typicity, with terrific persistence, balanced acids and soft tannins. An 05 that is finally ready to go! Beautiful wine. — 4 months ago

Combines a lot of wine profiles in this blend. Fruity without being overly sweet. Healthy amount of tannins. Reminds me of a Barbera d’asti maybe, but with a Syrah mouthfeel. Andre Mack knows what he is doing. — 3 years ago
