This didn't upload properly with my notes but I'm liking these Sangiovese's with a 4-5% blend of Merlot - it rounds them out and makes them more approachable because you can't pair with a wild boar ragout pasta every night of the week.

Bright this back from the AMA Bordeaux cruise. 2018 vs previous 2016 vintage. Bouquet of soft sour cherries! Dusty dry upfront of tannic dark sour cherries. Soft dusty finish. Nice old world flavors. — a year ago
Medium-deep ruby color
Aromas of cherry,
Dry. Flavors of cherry, licorice, herbal, floral. Rich, chewy tannins!
Needs age to soften tannins, but may not be enough fruit for aromatic development.

Popped and poured; enjoyed with a selection of cheeses. The 2007 pours a deep amber color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with unctuous notes of dried apricot, honey, and candied nuts. On the palate, the wine is sweet with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is long. Seems like it will have a long life. Drink now through ????. — 2 months ago
