I own the ‘15 and was completely disappointed that it is still sooo tight . I passed on buying the ‘16, now to my regret. This one is singing even young. Tradition Sangiovese. A breath of sunny Tuscany. Ripe red fruit and that burnt Tuscan dirt. Just amazing. Long finish with medium plus acidity for long cellaring. — 3 days ago
Antinori Wine Dinner. The main event. Paired with lamb shank and veggies. This is a very approachable Tig. Pungent red fruit, tobacco, and spice on a lithe mineral-tinged frame. Not as great as other vintages in recent history but outstanding nevertheless. — 8 days ago
So fruity and delicious drinking with my new roomie! — 3 days ago
Early ripening Bordeaux Blend of 51% Merlot, 31% Cab Franc, 17% Cab Sauv & 1% Petit Verdot. Dark Ruby with aromas of rich berry fruits with notes of spice, herb and forest floor. On the palate flavors of ripe blackberry and cherry with cinnamon and mushroom. Soft fine tannins, rich mouthfeel well balanced with vivid acidity. Long finish ending with fruit, cedar and tobacco. Will benefit from some short term aging, Nice value!! — 3 days ago
Wine o'clock watch pairing ...
Mid-2000s Omega Speedmaster Reduced II 3539.50.
This Guido needs a lot more time for my taste. It opens with promising barnyard aromas that subside and give way to oak -- which are fairly dominant in my opinion. Unripe red fruits, a mineral/metallic cherry taste (I know, makes no sense). Medium bodied, medium alcohol, double dry tannins. Finish of sour cherry.
I will buy another bottle to hold for 2-3 years and expect I'll score it 2 points higher meanwhile in Sept 2020, it's a 91+ on my scale.

Очень приличное и приятное, классически тосканское. На запах ярко-кисло, надо декантировать. На вкус чернослив, ягоды, кислотно, капелька конюшни. Очень пристойно. — 6 days ago
Picked this up from Eataly at their new Westfield location around WTC.
Oranges galore. Apricot. Citrus, tangerines, pomelo, come one come all. The great tangerine is in town. Ripe mango as well.
Mango juice mixed with orange soda. Lovely. Perfect balance of all the wonderful qualities of orange wine. Bubbles, natural unctuousness balances with honey and medium acidity.
Really blown away by this one at how simply it comes off. — 3 days ago
Clear garnet. Nose of black cherry and roses. Medium light, fruity palate of black cherry, violets, and a hint of anise. Medium plus acidity. Medium minus tannins. Hey, it’s a solid Sangiovese that’ll go great with Italian-American fare or medium cheeses. Drink now. — 5 days ago
