Drank this chilled on a 90F day with a meatball sub. Light to medium body, cherry. Nice one. — 6 days ago
Takes 30 minutes and then wowza yowza. Nose is stunning. Sappy and pure. Red cherries, hint of caramel, dust, sawdust. Wild mint. Old tea. Stunning. Palate has laser like focus. Great freshness and acidity and early to mid season cherries and decaying leaves. Elegant and perfectly balanced. Long finish and velvety, sweet and almost resolved tannins. Great energy and presence. Lovely hit of opulence in the mid. Tannins are sweet and silky but gain more substance with air. Got decades left — a month ago
— 17 days ago
Funky, astringent, unfiltered, wild. Great on its own or with Aperol. — 19 days ago
The 2020 Rosé di Lulú is quite unique and perfumed in the glass, with a bouquet of Sour Patch melon, sweet spice and candied orange peels. It’s soft textured with wild inner floral tones complemented by hints of ginger, coming across more like an exotic herbal tea than wine. The result is actually quite pleasurable as this tapers off savory yet fresh with a lingering hint of spearmint. The Rosé di Lulú is a varietal Nero di Troia Rosato from Puglia. This is easily the greatest wine I’ve had from Apuglia. Stunning floral aromas. Amazing sugar inflected purple fruits that are so complex and inviting that the nose is like a warm hug from an old friend. Stunning breadth and detail in the aroma. 9.7 or 9.8 nose. This is my 2nd bottle and it’s just brilliant. Deep nose. What a combo of spicey/floral and purple fruits. Palate is just a joy. Structured and deep. Classically structured like an elite Bordeaux. Incense on the nose as well now just noticed. The tannins here are just stunning. Sweet, velvety and substantial. Amazing length and just enough finesse to get this to 9.6. This is a stupid good wine. 2nd bottles with consistent notes. — 3 days ago
