Agree with @Lyle Fass ‘s review the nose is something special. Enticing. Medicinal/iodine, foliage, leather. Palate needs time, still just a bit primary at the moment with a touch of heat. Resolved after 6-7 hrs. Lovely wine and just the thing with a lasagna on a cooler summer night.

What a wine! Nose is sick. Comforting aromas of chestnut, spice, tar, leather, roses and more. So deep, accurate and detailed. Loads of sweet spices. 9.6 nose. Gorgeous. Great palate with huge concentration and sap. Big tannins that will smooth out with air. Dark cherry fruit and loads of inner mouth florals and spices. What a finish that just imprints on the palate. So juicy and suave but needs air but it is all there. What a wine. With air nose gets hints of caramel, tree bark and forest floor. Really elegant and pure. Big tannins that need age and air to calm down. After much air this is lovely. Nose is harmonious and full. Tree bark, oolong tea, tar, roses, dark macerated cherries. Velvety palate. Luscious fruit. So fresh and nimble. Still a 9.4 but a 9.49999.
9.4 to 9.5 overnight with just sensational freshness and energy on the palate and hasn’t lost a thing overnight. Only added. Brilliant wine.
