Based on other reviews here I decided to open, decant and wait 2 hours. Great advice! This was electric after 2+ hours. Pungent, powerful and delicious! Rich deep dark color and strong earth and mature cherry notes. Still active and pacing in the glass. This was the best bottle of the ‘16 so far for me. Definitely in its enjoyment zone. — 9 days ago

2018 Vintage of a legendary large producer. Great balance, a bit too tannic for years aging and perhaps requires decanting, breathing. Having visited the winery a few years ago - beautiful Tuscan facility, would like to say more nice things but the Summary is: nice Brunello. Deep Ruby with aromas of fresh ripe berry fruits, floral and slight spicy notes. Blend of 95% Sangiovese; 5% Canaiolo & Colorino, aged 24 months in oak. Fruit comes primarily from a small parcel of galestro-rich soils. On the palate cherry and black raspberry flavors, adding lovely floral notes, well balanced with acidity and fine tannins. A Tuscan red blend that we have had in the United States as well as in Italy. In the US you can buy this for $16 a bottle at Total Wine and see it in a restaurant for $52 a bottle. I was in the north end of Boston and paid $80 for the same bottle! If you are in Florence this bottle costs about €15.30 in the supermarket and will run you about €22 to €27 in a restaurant.  — 6 days ago
