This is so lovely. I want to keep smelling it. Nose of layer butter cream cake with banana filling, white flower, yellow ripe pear. Medium weight, good acidity. The pear flavor attaches to the acidity the moment it hits and then rides it whole whole time the mouth salivates. Added lemon rind, a touch of banana, butter cream yellow cake, and maybe a touch of marzipan. It’s zippy, not creamy and buttery. It has just aged so well. — 5 months ago
Out of the gates, the blockiest wine of the night. Very stubborn aromatically, but the palate does offer notes of black cherries, blackberries, and sous bois. Medium-bodied with fine tannins, excellent focus, and a highly saline finish. Certainly needs time to blossom. — 3 months ago

So much more open than the Les Fournaux, and fuller-bodied too. The nose had a rustic edge, offering brambly cassis, framed by earthy elements, violets, and a beautiful orange rind character. Good detail on the palate, echoing the nose with the dark fruit and earthy notes, and adding some spices and mineral notes in the finish. Unmistakably different from the Les Fournaux (flavour, fruit weight), yet there’s a sense of sameness between the two Bize wines (acid and tannin structure, minerality) - ah, the wonders of Burgundy! What a lovely study. — 3 months ago

Day12
After preservation/refrigeration for 12 days
Very nice. Still not fully open but not shut down like Day1. Nice cherry fruit but finishes with drying tannins. Youthful. Pretty and enjoyable. Followed 2.5 hours

Day19
👃Dusty and smoky, candied and sour cherries. Raspberries. High toned. Mint. Floral. Nice
👅 After 2.5 hours this starts singing. Cherries, earth, florals. Pretty, elegant, and lifted. Med+ body. Tannins softer and fine

Needs more bottle age or “slow decanting” to show really well but excellent upside 👍
