Palomino harvested from Carrascal vineyard in four passes during the season. Grapes exposed to sun for approx. 4 hrs to elevate sugars, no fortification necessary. Vintages prob-2013-2017 Saca iv.
N: Old wooden boats, tinned peaches, iodine, the sea baby!, Hazelnuts,Orange and lemon rinds, wax, petroleum, …
P:Oranges and peaches, So delicate, some wood, tactility seductive, Viscous yet refreshing.preserved citrus. The “ inner mouth energy” is tremendous.
Not overly oxidative, I could go on.
Find some.

N: Marzipan, Oranges, almonds, verging on sherry, petrol.
P: weirdly fresh as a daisy, bright, you can sense the long time in American oak, but it has no weight. All this from the “ lesser” vineyard of Gravonia.
A wine to think and drink.

Amazing nose:
N:Caramel, Buttered popcorn, wood, rancio, yeast, bread, big white flowers,
P: You might think with all that the palate would be heavy, but noooo. It’s fresh and crisp. Some dried orange peel, almonds, a foreign bay leaf kind of flavor,
So many elements it’s mystifying, like twisted rainwater. The ocean is ever present. On a 94° day, hits the many spots.

Whaaaat? Natty Mauzac vinified in the Jura. Cloudy pale-ish lemon. Bruised green apple, lemon zest, dried white peach, angostura bitters, chamomile, Basque sidra, fresh sage, hazelnut, white mushroom, tamari, brackish minerality. A bit of CO2 prickle; bracing, manzanilla sherry-like acidity. Light and lifted but subtly textural. Begs for shellfish. Perfect for a sweltering Texas summer night. — 5 days ago
