Corona Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Silky smooth with just enough tannins to make me happy. $125-150? This warrants it. Worthy of a nice occasion or baked mostaccioli on a Wednesday night. — 8 days ago

Marie-Noelle Ledru

Cuvée du Goulté Extra Brut Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs 2013

This was more open and giving than the 2014 I had in May, which although was very enjoyable and likely eventually the better wine, was tight as a drum and took lots of time to come out if its shell. In hindsight with that wine, I wish I had decanted. But ‘13 is another story. Ready and raring to go right on the pnp. Her wines are such a treat, especially this coveted BdN. — 14 days ago

De Bortoli

Noble One Botrytis Sémillon 2013

Lunch at home with friends on Saturday. Gives one an opportunity to open a Sauternes style which doesn’t happen often. The Noble One from de Bortoli is generally regarded as one of Australia’s finest Dessert style wines made from Semillon grapes effected by botrytis. A lovely apricot and honeycomb note with diminished acid. — a month ago

Panek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Double decanted, amazing energy and tannin integration. Huge fan of Thomas Brown. Can only get better with more time — 7 days ago

Summa Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018

Wow, this wine sings with an hour or so of air, and shows savory red and blue fruits, a touch of spice, and very well balanced. Rich, but light on its feet. Really fantastic. — a month ago

Grain Arvine de Fully 2018

Completely unique. Rieslingesque in its fruit, minerality and transparency. With a rhone-like texture, relatively subdued acid and a tropical hint on the nose. Very interesting; a little too sweet for food right now. — 10 days ago

Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2019

Lemon and brioche. Well integrated oak adds complexity w/o being heavy. Simply delicious now now but will continue to improve over the next few years — 12 days ago

Silver Eagle Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018

Just outstanding. TRB described this as the most structured of the 18s and I would agree. But that structure was supreme. — a month ago
