Needs hours for appreciation. Such a tightly wound wine after first decant has grown into a long finished well structured wine. Started off with almost imperceptible fruit. Smoke and wood and very black fruit introduced itself after the first hour. As impossible as it is, the acidity seemed to grow and develop over the hours. It eventually transformed into well developed flavors of blackberry, cassis, and loamy forest floor flavors. Truly an experience. — 7 days ago
2020 vintage. Another winner from Jaboulet and a great example of this under-the-radar northern Rhône appellation. Peaches, flowers and subtle spices. Crisp fruit and good almondy length and a hint of fresh mint. — 5 days ago
2021 vintage. "Mule Blanche" is Jaboulet's white flagship Crozes-Hermitage, a blend of Marsanne and Roussanne from 40 years old estate vineyards. Expressive nose bursting with white fruit, flowers and fresh herbs. Bright and crisp fruit with mouthwatering acidity and a distinctive minerality. Very long minty finish. Hard to resist now, but should age well. Abv. 13% . — 3 days ago
Pretty intense and citrusy. Definitely full-bodied. Lemon tart with a bit of apricot, oak, honeydew melon, and honey. — 14 days ago
2020 vintage. Bordeaux meets Rhône in this original blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from La Lagune and Syrah from Jaboulet. Needs some time, so decant or give it 15 minutes in the glass. Black fruit ( blackberries, cassis) intertwined with Provence spices. Juicy and spicy, with complexity and very good length. Highly recommended. Abv. 13,5 %. — 5 days ago
