The 2022 Chêne Marchand is a richly fruited wine offering creamy notes and ripe peach fruit. While it's an opulent style for a Sancerre, it never becomes heavy, plus it has an almost tannic edge, providing a frame and reassuring structure that grips the palate, suggesting that this has longevity. There's a fine, briny character throughout. Having tasted the killer 1996 vintage a few minutes afterward, you can be sure this wine has a long life ahead. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, August 2024)

This lovely glass of wine has transported me. With some Manchego, olives and bread at the Wine Bar at the San Francisco ferry depot. — 6 days ago

Aromas of soft citrus and peach with hints of minerals. Crisp acidity, good with roasted carrots, potatoes and chicken. Clean refreshing finish and a good value. — 2 months ago
Bought chilled, really opened up as it came to room temp — 3 months ago

My brother likes this, I don’t but will drink it because I’m a good sister! 😖 very light bodied, way too tannic, no fruit on the palate. I’ll open something else for the steak! — 15 days ago
