Wild and animalistic. For sure not something i would expect from a GC. The guests liked it but mostly i think for the GC label. The wine needs tons of air. But it tends to be overoxided before the limited flavors comes through. And i just can’t ignore that. For sure no match at all for an E&M big boy not even close. Pretty harsh tannins, orange rind and essentially almost no fruit. — 18 days ago
Light lemon yellow. Citrus peel , red apple , acacia and chalk dust on the nose . On the palate quite strict, intense and mineral with light citrus fruits and a slightly toasty note. Very well balanced and long on the palate . This is the Jan 2018 degorgement . Great now , still pretty young really , and over the next 5-10 years. — a month ago

Liked this!! From wine story for around 35, brought to tanoshi with the bbb. Sadly we had to chug towards the end since we had a bottle of sake beforehand but I think it was really drinkable alone. Classic sancserre, stone fruity, lemon, apple, minerals 💖 — 4 months ago
This is a new one for me—Sancerre Rose. Initial sniff gave me some old cork smell, but it dissipated. Some fruit and flowers on the nose, with more juicy, tangy fruit at first taste. Drinks more like a white to me, which isn’t a bad thing. Pairs very nicely with leftover Thanksgiving turkey and sage stuffing. 2021 vintage. — a day ago
The NV Brut 7 Crus is a very pretty, entry-level wine in this range. Bright, mineral and intensely vibrant, the 7 Crus is all energy. All the elements are so well proportioned. A blend of 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir, this captures all the house signatures with tons of energy and better overall balance than in some previous editions. White flowers, chalk and citrus linger. Dosage is 6 grams per liter. Disgorged: June, 2023. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2023)

This wine has a beautiful golden hue and a complex nose. There are notes of guava, white flowers, lime and a soapy streak of salinity. The acidity is bracing. On the palate citrus minerals and an earthy aftertaste, almost soft despite the razor-sharp acidity. Get this for your shellfish, and don't be selfish. Share. — a month ago
