Last night I opened the 2019 Mongrana Maremma Rosso Toscana. Tuscany, Italy. This wine is a Super Tuscan blend of 50% Sangiovese, 25% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon.
On the nose there is cherry, red plum, blackberry, tomato, chocolate, leather, nlack pepper and wet gravel.
On the palate I am detecting cherry, raspberry, plum, red currant, spice, herbal notes and wet gravel.
This is a full bodied wine with a smooth well rounded mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium + grippy chewy tannins that leaves you with a long red & black fruit earthy finish. Please have a wonderful week ahead and stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 14 days ago
