Lager is only slightly misleading here. Red-black with creamed coffee crown. That laces and effaces with ram horn arcs that ride the ring around blackest space. Kona coffee and medium-dark chocolate charms lead coconut and malt notes into vanilla bean and creme cookie with ginger snap ghosts. Big, bright and explosive. The color is a magical hue of deep garnet and the nose of blackberry cobbler, balsamic and cassis jump out of the glass. The mouth is full and round with juicy ripe fruit melding with chocolate and baking spice. The finish goes on forever and you never want it to end. Needed a Kona rubbed ribeye!!! — 8 years ago
