A new style for me.
Nose: meaty, savory, saline…almost some onions. Bagels. Onion bagels??! Mexican food?!? Wow, the Mexican food images really sticks, now I keep smelling tacos…
Taste: heavy, peachy, grapey, sweet onions and herbs, white flowers, honeysuckle, vanilla…almond, apricot. Long finish. I don’t drink a lot of white wine, so my experience (and vocabulary) are both limited here…and I can’t decide if I love it or hate it- it is funky compared to what I am used to…but very complex, and clearly well made stuff. Pora is a “lighter” cru and this was noticeable. At age nine I didn’t expect so much evolution into it’s tertiary stage. And this for colour, nose and taste. Don’t know if this is normal. But nevertheless a superb wine! I just wouldn’t keep it for more than another 5 years. — 13 days ago
Enormous purple black ink. Ultra ripe blue and black fruit. Baking spices new oak sweet tobacco. Balanced with enough acid to keep me wanting more. — 3 hours ago
Wow what an amazing buy. Complex nose, classic but complex. Right bank stunner. Cedar, truffle, cassis, olive tapenade , slate, salt, with even an iron complement. Quite structured with amazing tannins still rounding out the fruit. Dark berries, blueberries , ripe blackberries, great tannins to give this wine the structure it needs to keep on aging. Great now, would love to try again in another 5 years. 14.5% — 5 days ago
