Very dark. Holy high alcohol Jim! 14.9%. Smells a bit like port, grandma’s fruit cake, & blackberry/black cherry jam. Also like Christmas. I heard that from somebody. This wine is all Christmas. Flavor is similar to nose. Toasty, toffee, smokey, slightly raisiny. It has a nice dry, earthy finish though. The ink and graphite hint late. It’s a unique, big Tempranillo, but it’s tasty and delicious. Best on a cold night as the last one... — 3 years ago

Pale, translucent with salmon rim variation / fresh earth, dried red fruit or bramble, game, mountain scrub, thyme, jerky? / med- body showing red raspberry, some strawberry, both offset with savory tones / slim Jim, fruit roll up / Blind I might’ve called this Fleurie, but it’s definitely a little more complex than that—these wines are hidden gem — 3 years ago
Some oak and just a touch of an herbal aroma, still pretty solid structure, balanced, long finish, should be excellent with the prime rib. Kudos to Jim and Barbara for this lovely old Merlot. — 4 years ago
3rd generation grower Jim Maresh launched his own brand in 2007. Maresh Vineyard was first planted in 1970 by grandparents Jim & Loie. Aromas of attractive red berry fruits with a touch of cooling mint. On the palate cherry and berry fruits, well structured, with a touch of rustic spice. Fine soft tannins, balanced with acidity, medium-bodied, long finish ending with earthy mineral character. Very Nice! — 3 years ago
