The 2019 Barolo is powerful, burly and full of character. Although not especially refined, the straight Barolo has a ton of personality. Time in the glass brings out scents to tobacco, dried herbs, lavender, cedar and menthol. I would give this a good bit of air. There's a lot going on here. This is really quite impressive in its peer group, and beyond that, too. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2023)

Elegant, supple, balanced. Complex but not overbearing. — 12 days ago
Truly delicious, fantastic #langhenebbiolo at a great bottle price at one of my favorite restaurants for my mid-week birthday. Soon after opening this Piedmontese red is crooning with rose petal, cherries, touch of tar, spices on the nose. Finely balanced on the palate, robust but stately tannins, earthy notes, excellent with a variety of Indian-Portuguese appetizers. — a month ago
Wow. So special. — 2 months ago
Dark ruby color. Intense aromas of red and black berries, coffee, leather and dark chocolate. Fruit forward palate features black berry/cherry, tobacco and balsamic vinegar. Pleasant sour note on the finish. Some VA? Hint of smoke. Juicy, ripe, plush and round with very soft tannins. Nicely balanced. Great with food. Excellent QPR. — 22 days ago
Opened several hours prior to service and poured into a ship’s decanter. The 1967 “Riserva” pours a ruddy garnet color with a transparent core and a slightly orange-ish rim. Medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. Some slight signs of fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous but the fruit is still showing so well! A mix of ripe and desiccated red and dark fruits with forest floor, porcini, dried roses, tar, some tobacco, dried herbs, dusty earth and exotic spices. On the palate, the wine is dry; medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long a slightly savory. This is drinking so well right now and I reckon it’s on a plateau of pleasure. It almost seems evergreen considering its vigor. Drink now because you’ve already waited long enough! — a month ago

A little tang and tobacco. Pure dark cherry fruit. Some saddle leather and funky beef. A slight edge of balsamic. Good stuff — 3 days ago
