2022 vintage. Tasted during lunch at their restaurant La Table de Nathalie. Deep dark red. Inviting nose with very ripe cassis and blackberries, intertwined with subtle floral and spicy notes. Concentrated and layered black fruit with the ripeness that one expects in this splendid vintage, all kept in balance by the juicy acidity and powerful velvety tannins. This will age gracefully for decades, but like many 22s it is very flattering young. An impressive effort from this estate that is on a high. It is the 2006 vintage. So for me it lacks the depth I seek, but shows all the grace & style that is everything I love about Margaux wines.

While this misses in some areas, it nicely delivers in all the higher toned nuances of Margaux.

Lean, brambly, wild, blackberries, black raspberries, dry plum skin, well baked strawberries, dark cherries, dark chocolate baking bar, chocolate pudding, layered baking spices, dry tobacco w/ ash, well used leather, understated graphite, used charcoal, dry pebbles/soil, gentle dark spices, moist volcanic clays, dark withering flowers, dry red roses & bright violets, nice acidy and a good, even, well balanced finish that lasts almost a full minute.

This will drink steadily for 5-7 more yrs but not improve. — 11 days ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2005 pours a garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of cassis, black plum, capsicum, tobacco, horse blanket, gravelly earth, and a mix of cool and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and elegant. Drink now through 2055. — 2 months ago

Medium ruby garnet , with quite thin light garnet rim . Quite open and lively , with spicy hedgerow fruit , touches of tobacco, some floral hints too , quite charming . On the palate this is quite lean , with more of those red plum , raspberry notes , lightly herbal touches. However this fills out quite well on the mid palate . Quite fresh acidity , and delicate tannins . Reasonable herbal tinged red fruit finish . This is showing well , with a suave red fruit, herbal tinged personality . Surprisingly open & approachable right now.
Black cherry in the nose, with some mulberry and dark plum, but also a savory, rocky note. And a hit of licorice / mint adding freshness.
On the palate this is layered, suave, with velvety tannins, nice purity of fruit and juicy, fresh acidity. Beautiful depth here, and quite some seriousness and elegance.
