Brilliant fruity red. Cherry and pine and all things nice. Drinking with lamb and loving it. — 4 years ago
At £120 I’ve always thought this is an overpriced NV/MV champagne but that said it’s still a lovely drop if you like it mineral bone dry 😉 I’m more of a Krug or Henri Giraud fan for MV @ this price range 👍

Great wine with tannins, decant to fully explore and enjoy. — 3 years ago
Opened on #nationalwhitewineday. Honeycrisp apples, lychee fruit, dried white flowers, and the signature oily feel to the nose. Medium weight. Juicy yellow apple with slight papaya fruit. Low to medium acidity. Great alternative to Chardonnay. Paired with a honey marinated grilled chicken. — 4 years ago
Wow! The most elegant wine I think that I've ever had. 2018 apparently not a great year, but still... — a month ago

A slightly stinky, stewed fruit nose presently, but I can just about pick up the cherry core beginning to show itself. Translucent Brown-Ruby in color. Been decanting this for a little while now, will need a lot of time to open. Palate is presently, earthy cherry with acidity still hanging on nicely. Notes will be updated.
Nose stink had mostly subsided, now we have stewed cherry over loamy earth.
Palate is medium-light acidty of ripe cherry, lightly peppered dark chocolate covered cherry, tannins continue to hang on. Not sure if this is past peak, or it needs many more years. This is the oldest Savigny-les-Beaune (10 years past vintage) we've experienced, so I don't have any benchmark to compare against. I still feel this is a pretty solid bottle. — 4 years ago
