27.10.2023 Sancerre Les Baronnes, the second wine tasted with my colleagues and the director (who is drinking). Emphasized by Sauvignon Blanc's history and the description of Sancerre as a place, it was surprisingly appreciated. The 2022 vintage is quite light in terms of texture, but perfectly represents the variety. — a month ago
Beautiful cuvée with age. Bottle bought 10 years ago and likely disgorged around 2010 or so.
Black cherries, liqueur tangerines, dried stone fruits, blackberries, mix of black raspberries/raspberries, rainier cherries, delicate but razor sharp chalkiness, limestone, sea spray, sea fossils, bread dough, baguette crust, soft wine spice, rainbow, floral bouquet, shape acidity, good tension, excellent structure & balance. The finish is elegant with power that lasts minutes. Excellent with Duck Confit, goat cheese with herbs.

Another stunner from Henri Boillot. — a month ago
Very dense in colour - an impenetrable dark Ruby red. Aromatics of dried red fruits, earth, a little charcuterie and a touch of tar. Love the CdP perfume. A trace of sootiness. This is the 2nd Cuvée of the enigmatic Henri Bonneau, who has now passed on. His top wine, Celestins, is a WOW Wine. A medium plus weight palate - both sweet and savoury and also rich. The flavours of good CdP suit my palate perfectly - particularly wines like this from Bonneau, Rayas or Beaucastel Jacques Perrin. — 2 months ago

Rich, buttery nose. minerals, high end peanut butter and deep sea air. Wood shavings. Palate is rich and velvety with top top texture. Such great acidity and cut and a wonderful, very integrated finish. Amazing sap and purity. As this airs it gets so elegant and even more integrated. — 6 days ago
