On the nose scents of black cherry are accompanied by clove, flowers, and some tar. Flavors of black cherry and earth are backed by medium, well integrated tannins, making this extremely light in the palate and easy to drink. Finishes with black cherry and cocoa.

A fantastic value. — 15 days ago
Traditional Chianti Classico from a producer I was not familiar with. Extended oak aging for this wine results in a fairly developed, mature wine with slight browning on the rim. The wine was full of red cherry fruit, black plum, licorice, dried Tuscan herbs, tobacco, dusty top soil, warm leather and spice. After a short decant the aroma blew me away on this wine. The nose wasn’t as pronounced on night two, but it was much more integrated. Really surprising and delicious Chianti Classico Riserva at an affordable price. — 8 hours ago
The Tenuta di Nozzole - La Forra Gran Selezione is a balanced, smooth and fresh wine, with cherry/strawberry flavors, medium-bodied and overall not too heavy. — 3 days ago
Unlike prior iterations of this “secret” private label for Garagiste, the cork had no identifying marks denoting the estate from which it came. (I think the 16 sported a Casa Emma cork, if memory serves.) But regardless who made this, it’s really good. Dark ruby color. Great nose of violets, deeply intense dark cherry, some crushed gravel, and a slight balsamic note. Intense in the mouth, it’s lots of fruit and florals at first, but then gives way to loads of cooling crushed stone minerality, and ends quite savory. Good acids, and lots of soft tannin. Will improve for at least a couple more years, maybe more. — 23 days ago
Decent Sangiovese blend from Tuscany. Fruit forward and delicious with spicy notes like black currant and plum. Not my favorite Tuscan in the $30-50 range — 12 days ago
LOVE this - perfect Chianti for me, peppery but smooth, easy drinking for dinner or social — 3 days ago
