Surprisingly youthful & vigorous for this age.
Dried cherries on the nose with some tobacco, turned earth, tomato leaf, a bit of leather & a touch of black tea. Enticing, complex, fresh.
On the palate this showed some energy! The tannins polished, smooth but still with quite a grip, the acidity shining, the fruit slowly fading but still there. Brilliant length and character. — 2 months ago
Organic, fruit forward, acidic, medium bodied, great with an Italian dish. No fuss, no decanting, drink as is! Enjoy! — 16 days ago

A little more expensive at 40 bucks but absolutely delicious. — 12 days ago
Golden coloration. On the nose, lemon, brioche, minerals. On the palate, nice creamy texture, fuller body, a touch of earthiness, but primarily long lasting citrus and lemon notes with minerality on the palate that finishes strong with those 3 notes ending with a crush of a acidity. — 21 days ago
I mean this wine is so money. Smooth, fruity, Italian rusticity in the best way. Unbelievable — 2 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of dinner. The 2021 Riserva pours a garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Morello cherry, red flowers, old wood, dried green herbs and gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is medium+. A young, taught Monsanto CCR and I believe this will open with some more time on its side. Drink now if you must but better after 2031 and through 2046. — 3 days ago
