Deep ruby color with legs. Aromas of tobacco, spice, cherry, raspberry, vanilla, and strawberry. Medium + tannins, high acidity. Excellent integration and balance.

Nipozzano!!!!! The 2012 Nipozzano #chianti Riserva has to be probably my favorite Chianti. The product of a cold wet winter and spring followed but a dry hot summer... this wine has a nice ruby color. With a welcoming floral and fruity bouquet. Raspberry, licorice and cherry are followed by sweet notes of ripe juicy strawberries and plum. The finish is long, fruity with some floral notes and a slight hint of spice... maybe pepper?
