Cork broke, but the juice is good. The nose is shy, but the fruit flavors are vibrant. Tart blackberries, prunes, thyme, earthiness, a bit of tobacco bound in new leather. Tannins medium+, acidity medium+. Enjoy it now or enjoy it in 6-8 years. I really didn't want to do 6-7. I'm enjoying it now with a beautifully cooked sirloin, smashed potatoes, goat cheese, and a simple arugula salad. TGIF!

The nose shows fresh apple and pear, with a subtle, fleeting hint of brioche. The palate is defined by a crisp, direct attack that yields to a somewhat firm, fruit-driven structure. Fine lively bubbles.

I love champagne, but the only thing I love more than champagne is free champagne. Was this great because it’s great, or was it great because it was free and unlimited? Does it matter? Super rich and toasty, but still maintains a bright acidity and freshness. I definitely get the classic brioche note, along with apple and citrus. Feels more complex and has more depth than some other champagnes I have tasted. Super crisp and refreshing, but has a richness that makes it feel indulgent. — 11 days ago

Medium straw lemon colour . This is quite rich on the nose with lemon pith , touch of smoke , ginger and creamy , honeysuckle notes . On the palate this shows more yellow fruits, peach , apricot and lemon , good acidity and balance. Quite intense and long with chalky touches. Drinking well now but still quite fruit dominated. A really good bottle , completely another experience than the overly advanced bottle last year , this one showing youth and freshness , ripeness and intensity . Lovely now but will continue and probably improve over the next 5-10 years . — 22 days ago
