Color of dark purple, look dense. Nose of ripe dark fruits, some milky chocolate, some aldehyde, some spice, some more blackberry and cherry jam, and a bit oaky. Nose is pretty good. Taste follows the nose, with dominant currant and ripe grapes, plus oak, refined tannins, and subtle acidity, a bit peppery spice, lots of flavors and tasty. Aftertaste is also quite long and clean. Just a bit too sweet for me. But a good one. — 7 days ago
1 hour decant (little cloudy sediment). A prodigious dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: ripe sweet plum/cherry, cinnamon, rich planting soil, and pine. Taste: smooth, juicy, extracted but balanced wine with blackberry jam, chocolate, oak, and a red berry - sweet tobacco finish.
A Andy Erickson Napa wine, less than $50, where have you been....nice value!!
Red Hot Chile Peppers concert fire up with a couple wines and Taco Bell. YUMMM!!@ — 10 days ago
Oregon Syrah drinking beautifully! Savory with loads of violet, blackberry, and faint smoked meat. Not very peppery. It is my understanding that this producer is no longer around and unfortunately this was my last bottle. But we made it count paired with flank steak in a charred scallion sauce with sautéed broccoli. — 14 days ago
This Rosè needs time to open up otherwise it shows a heavy floral note on the palate.@Randy Fuller you are correct; I am getting spearmint on the nose and palate! Nice nuances of nectarine, strawberries, roses and orange peel. Good acid and fruit balance. — 3 days ago
Today, every producer has a rosé wine in their line-up; rosé is in such a “fad mode” that it is actually getting more complicated to find a decent rose than a decent white. Nowadays, looking North of twenty-five bucks is a good start. Anyhow; this is dry, peachy, strawberry-ish, clean, bright, balanced with medium intensity on the pallet. Overall , one of the best rosés I’ve tasted this year; for a little more than your average tainted rosé, I must say. — 11 days ago
