Laughing about this wine selection! Found this at a grocery (slash) Quick style mart. Situated on the bottom shelf at 14.99; one of the higher priced wines in this little Mart!
Really surprised at the orange color on this! Nice strawberries, raspberries, bubblegum, rose petals and so much more!
Pleasantly surprised at this summer time quaffer! — 7 hours ago
Nose has jammy ripe raspberry & blackberry, spicy oak/cedar and warm plum.
Palate has ripe blackberry, plum, black cherry and dry soil.
Opened 3 days earlier, it was a tannic and jammy beast, not my style. Honestly the youngest bottle we've opened, so I wasn't terribly surprised by the showing. This wine has really settled with very extended air, quite pleased tonight.
2018 blend is 70% Syrah, 15% Grenache & 15% Sangiovese. We've been enjoying this wine randomly since about the 2009 vintage, embracing the culture behind the label. Look it up if you're not familiar. — 15 days ago
Castello di Amorosa Cresta d'Oro Vineyard Rosato di Pinot Noir 2020, California
Pale salmon in color.
Light nose of lemons, light strawberries, citrus, limes, river rocks, green apples, sea salt and earth.
Light to medium in body with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, strawberries, limes, grapefruits, bitter herbs, spices, light earth, green apples and minerals.
Nice length on the finish with limes.
This is a very enjoyable Rosé from Russian River Valley. Nicely balanced, crisp and refreshing. Light and engaging without being bitter nor tart.
This Single Vineyard is showing nice complexity already. Easy drinking and good by itself.
Gets earthier as it opens up with an old world feel (30 minutes).
Good by itself or with food. A tasty wine that I enjoyed all by itself by the pool.
12.5% alcohol by volume.

‘14 aged well! In the autumn of 1989, Jess Jackson acquired the Zellerbach winery and renamed it in honor of his late father, Jess Stonestreet Jackson. From higher elevation vineyards, medium lemon color with stone fruit aromas & floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple and pear, a tad buttery with layered spice, vivid acidity supporting the French oak aging. Medium+ finish ending with citrus mineral character. Very nice, drink now! — 7 days ago
It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Inky in color with a short reddish rim.
Fruity nose with black currants, black plums, blueberries, ripe cherries, light cedar, light earth, vanilla, black pepper, chocolates, coffee and pencil lead.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long skinny legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, black currants, coffee, oak, vanilla, vegetables, black pepper, spices, chocolates, dark coffee, herbs, tobacco leaf, leather and earth.
Medium on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very nice Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Napa Valley. Still young and will benefit from some bottle aging. Has good potential to become a really nice wine.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 90 minutes of airtime. Really nice nose once it opens up.
Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years, however, already drinking nicely and showing nice complexity.
The Malbec seems very dominant at the moment. Spicy and tangy. Fruit forward and tasty.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with cheeses and olives.
A blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot and 8% Malbec. Aged in mostly French oak barrels for 18 months.
14.2% alcohol by volume.

Sine Qua Non vs Schrader cage fight tonight.
+4 hour decant (some fine cloudy sediment). A remarkable dark purplish garnet color. On the nose: red and black fruit, stewed meat, sandalwood, pepper, bacon, charcoal. Taste: a smooth, rich, soft, powerful wine with dark cherry, licorice, smoke, leather, pepper and a long dark chocolate espresso finish. YUM! It has everything you want. Its young(probably a better score if I have patience), but so good I might pop another bottle tomorrow. Cheers! — 7 days ago
This is a big and bold Zinfandel based red Blend from California.
Showing black fruits with tobacco, chocolates, coffee, cola, vanilla, cedar, licorice and mocha.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Jammy and creamy. Smooth and easy drinking.
Enjoyable by itself, and would pair nicely with a burger.
Would be interesting to try it in a few years, as it might calm down a bit. Might be too sweet for some.
A blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Syrah.
15.7% alcohol by volume.

Crushed peak season strawberries, rhubarb, sour cherries, pink peppercorn, violets, hibiscus, chalk. Incredibly drinkable, crushable, smashable. This wine makes me feel cool. I want to get drunk off of this wine - will always buy a bottle whenever I see one. — a day ago
