Surprisingly precotious, with aromas of hazelnuts and drying fruit. A sense of oak with a little hint of vanilla, perhaps telling of a bit of new oak in the mix. Quite big bodied, high acidity and a smooth texture. Two years on the lees, long finish. — 3 months ago
A note from Christmas. Befitting of the ocassion - it always feels so special to open a Vin Jaune. Something about these highly intense wines that just begs for contemplation. I found the 11' En Spois a really elegant expression of the wine, with citrus fruit and saline characters stealing the limelight. Sure it was aldehydic and leesy, as one would expect a Vin Jaune to be, but it never overpowered the juicy elements of the wine. For me, the ace-in-the-hole here was the sappy texture and "clean" linear acidity. All that with walnuts and Manchego - incredible! Just wished we had Comté then. — 5 months ago

Nice nose- yeast and cherry and strawberry fruit. The palate is full and has a fruity roundness, and a nice savory salinity and bitter hint, and sparkling minerals on the finish. But it unfortunately falls a little flat- lacking acid and balance on the midpalate. — 4 months ago
Butterscotch on the nose. Bright and funky with a little bit of a citrusy pop at the end. — 2 months ago

2016 vintage. Savagnin Authentique. Jérôme Arnoux has been working alongside Stéphane Tissot for many years before starting his own business. This traditional Savagnin in the oxidative "non-ouillé"-style is a beauty. Intense perfume of chamomile and walnuts. Powerful in the mouth, bright and energetic with mouthwatering acidity and a long mineral finish. — 5 months ago

30/30/40 blend. Too much funk for some, not enough for me. This wine is ALIVE. (Some RS) — a day ago
