Spice aromas leading to just ripe plum and other dark and red fruits like blackberry and raspberry fruits with just the right touch of baking spices and an underlying velvety chocolaty leather touch. Nice lingering finish of this Grenache and Syrah blend. — a month ago
Rich and lively out of the bottle - vanilla oak, black fruit and cassis that mellows with time in the glass. At first blush it would pass as a boutique wine but the fragility of the wine’s substance reveals itself as the pour is consumed. Great value for the price. — 16 days ago
I was wondering whether my 2003 bottles made it through the years. They did!
Mature, very 'round', full bodied, a bit on the sweet side just as i think is typical for a German 'Spätburgunder' (aka. pinot noir).
I love it! — 9 days ago
Deep purple in color with a short reddish rim.
Fruity nose with blackberries, black cherries, cooked strawberries, oak, light vanilla, licorice, spices, earth, light vegetables, turmeric, black pepper and a touch of honeysuckle.
Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with cherries, sweet strawberries, raspberries, lemon peal, black currants, oak, earth, honeysuckle, spices, herbs and black pepper.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy pomegranates.
This is a very unique Petite Sirah from Colorado. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel. Rich, dense, opulent and tangy. Concentrated, but fresh.
This Single Vineyard Petite Sirah does not resemble a California Petite Sirah.
Still young and needs five years in the bottle to mature properly, but already very yummy. I really enjoyed the nose, and kept smelling on it for a while.
Good right out of the bottle. Good by itself and better with food. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
Grapes are fermented on their own yeast. Aged in American oak barrels. Unfiltered and unfined.
15.2% alcohol by volume.

The 2012 Vin San Giusto is incredibly refined. There is plenty of the richness that readers have come to expect from the Vin San Giusto, but at the same time, the 2012 is wonderfully precise and nuanced. Spicecake, tobacco, cedar and mint give the 2012 lovely aromatic complexity that gives the wine a remarkable sense of lightness for such a rich sweet wine. In a word: superb. Quite dense crimson in colour for its age. Notes of Menthol/Eucalyptus and aniseed typical of Wendouree. A full bodied palate- earthy, berry, mineral with a tarry note. Might be a 19 year old wine but there is so much latent energy and power it will go on for some years yet. I will drink my last one in 2 to 3 years and if I have the willpower should be 4 to 5 years. Will go the distance. — 7 days ago
Slowly discovering A. Viloria wines. I bought a few more bottles of the Grenache because I enjoyed so much, so I added a bottle of this too. Took about eight minutes to open up, then wow! What a change! Bright raspberry, some presence of oak tannin in the aroma. Bright acid and cranberries on the palette. Not your traditional Pinot noir. — 14 days ago
