Band aid, red cherry, quite vivid fruit. Good in the palate. Really quite tangy. Still fresh. Good finish.

#1961 #ducrubeaucaillou was singing with all the fruit you would expect from a 20 year old wine. Amazing bottle shared by our favorite boss man teacher #perryfoto

🔥🔥🔥 Boom. This dropped like a bomb. Powerful nose of graphite, leather, tar and dried fruit. Still vibrant with nice acidity. Very supple and powerful wine that showed a lot younger than it is. These old perfect bottles when they are this clean and fresh are like crack to a crack addict. This has YEARS left to go. Pretty much blown away.

Ex-Chateau bottle. Testament to perfect storage. Light Amber edge with a darker core. Started off full of toast and just a whiff of brett. Slow ox for 2 hrs then poured. Amazing life for a 54yr old wine still in its stride. Light and dark fruit with seamless integrity and polish. Classic old BDX. After the initial funk blew off it kept developing in the glass. I could drink this all night long. Awesome

And then this happened. If I could give it a 15, I would. Such a beauty. Integrated with a freshness and complexity that is mind blowing.

Mature red fruit, leaves, still some ripe fruit notes. Quite good, but not crazy good.

We were worried this was gonna be cooked. But actually ended up being wonderful, tannins and acid mellowed out, still super balanced, slightly pyrazinic (tomato vine?), still has some leather and black currant.

Stunning intensity, loaded with fruit with some earth, nice acidity.
