Bottled 10/2021. An old favorite not had in years. I remember this being fresher with more citrus, playful. This edition is maltier, not quite as lively. Still delicious and a good match with homemade shawarma. To paraphrase Fernand Point— is it Saison DuPont that has changed, or have I?

I love how a really great saison plays tricks on my mind. The nose can smell a bit heavy with a ton of funk, spice, malt/wheat, and flowers. Then initially the palate is big with a bunch of flavor and some bitter bite, but as it finishes it is all integrated into a beautiful clean dry finish just begging for another sip. This may be the best and it is always wonderful. 9/16/2020 bottle date.
