This is far too young but when I have a chance to look in on Cheval Blanc I do.
Nose shows; ripe blackberries, strawberries, dark cherries, plum, moist clays, coffee, moist herbs, roasted chestnuts, amazing florals that are red flowers, red roses, lilacs & violets.
The palate shows some nice evolution but still too young to drink. Ripe and slightly candied; blackberries, strawberries, dark cherries, raspberries & plum. Moist clays, coffee, moist herbs, roasted chestnuts, espresso, mid berry cola, caramel, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, crazy, round, bold spice, moist tobacco, used leather, graphite, dark, rich earth, dry stone, limestone, soft oak powder notes, amazing florals that are red flowers, red roses, lilacs & violets, round, rainfall acidity, balance, mid structure/tension, grand length and a two-minute long polished finish.

2019 vintage. From magnum and tasted 3 hours after opening. Took me right/directly back to a 1991 Oakville Ranch Napa Cab I had the pleasure of enjoying 2-3x in the mid-90's. Medium+ body. Black olives. Eucalyptus. Fall dirt. Finishing cassis notes. Not gratuitous Cabernet but slightly less than tidy. 6.25.26. — 7 days ago

2017 vintage. Another spectacular Suduiraut. The 140 g/l residual sugar is balanced by the fresh acidity. Michael Broadbent used to say that Suduiraut always looks older than its age, but this bright golden colour shows no signs of age. Beautifully complex nose with pineapple and vanilla, flowers, beeswax, cinnamon and lemon confit. Opulent, rich and fresh at the same time, impressively layered and intense, with an extraordinarily long finish. A fabulous meditation wine that is amazingly affordable too. Abv. 14%. — 12 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course a few hours. The 2024 Contra Costa County pours a ruby/purple color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful and fresh with notes of bright tart, brambles, black cherry, black pepper, purple flowers, some black pepper and inorganic earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from nose. This finish is medium+ and loaded with minerals. Distinctive and full of energy. It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!
Salmon in color with a neon hue.
Bright nose of red fruits with light earth, citrus, raspberries, lemons, apples and light spices.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with apples, citrus, raspberries, strawberries, lemons, spices, herbs and light earth.
Tangy finish with limes and light almonds.
This is a very tasty Rosé from Oakville in Napa Valley. Nicely balanced and elegant, with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel.
Feels very fresh and engaging, and I loved the color.
Good right out of the bottle and a great pool wine. Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
100% Merlot grapes. A very limited production.
13.7% alcohol by volume.
