2018 vintage. First visit with this producer as it's rarely glimpsed in the Southern California market. Smoky, plummy nose. Medium body. Smooth, velveteen entry on the front palate that cruises the length of the performance until the fine-grained tannins at the conclusion. Super classy. Exactly zero speedbumps at this juncture. Refined enough to appeal to long-time BDX drinkers and inviting enough to welcome first-time BDX initiates. Showing beautifully now with very little to resolve. No personal history to draw on with this property but stylistically and regionally, feel this can easily go 10-12 years without effort/variation. Past that point, not prepared to say/speculate. 12.17.24. — 4 days ago
Pale yellow color. Aromas of apricot, guava and lemongrass. So tasty! Bright lemon-lime flavors, tropical fruits and grapefruit. — 5 days ago
Good god. Peaking right now.
Huge aromatics on the nose. Superb weight, balance and texture. No rush to consume. Cedar and macerated black cherries transition to coffee and hints of maple. Blew me away. In raptures over this. Direct from the winery when I lived in Europe. — 3 days ago
Quite bright medium ruby , ruby pink rim . Quite elegant and reserved , some red cherry, violet , summer fruits , scorched earth , touch of spice . On the palate quite elegant also , summer fruits, blackberry , blackcurrant , red plum . Good balanced acidity , herbal touches on the medium length , saline tinged finish . Quite polished but still grippy tannins . This is showing well , especially with food , but has a relatively long future , from now and over the next 5-10 years. A very successful second wine . — 4 days ago
Great wine with seafood dinner. Beeswax, lemons, honey, saline, maybe some other citrus. Really lovely. — 5 days ago

There’s nothing basic about this Bourgogne Blanc!
It’s absolutely lovely. With elegant notes of fresh white peach, nectarine, yellow apple, apricot, lemon peel, citrus blossom, chalk, wet slate, salinity, and sapidity; also, delicate cream, flintiness, and cheese rind notes and perhaps a touch of reduction, presenting as struck match. The palate is dry, with medium alcohol (13%), medium (+) acidity.
It fermented with wild yeasts and aged 11 months in a combination of barrels and stainless steel, followed by an addition 7 months in stainless steel tanks.
This wine has verve and vibrancy and is positively delicious.
Cheers to beautiful Bourgogne Blanc wines to write home about!! — 3 days ago
