Another killer Tecce. Wow. No decant. Blackberries, blueberry compote and citrus accents on the nose. Very assertive tannins and acidity (still a bit young). Tart cherry, tangerine, ash, and dried herbs with a gamey and metallic quality. Such a long finish. Really feeling the tannins, but balanced by all the complex dark fruit. Mouth-puckering. Let’s see what happens on day 2!
Day 2 is even nicer. The acidity calmed down and I’m getting some notes of unsweetened dark chocolate. Softer tannins, but still a good grip. Dark fruits are solid, with more black cherry than berries. Just great. — 2 months ago
Fun and funky bottle, lots of yeasty baked goods on the palette for me, but easy-drinking. — 8 months ago
