Feel like funky is too easy of a word for this wine, but it works. Funky/stinky nose, earthly funk and big red fruits on the palate. Definitely got my attention. Fun wine. And biodynamic too. — 8 years ago

Pleasure to drink. Wish it wasn't so expensive. For a 16 yo drop, this was showing good energy. Reductive when open, then it was all that soy and mushroom on the nose, some delicate fruit - almost somewhat ripe - on the palate. Solid finish, with a still present acid. Can't say I could taste the Vosne terrior though, perhaps a result of age. — 9 years ago

Palate has tangerine zest, ripe pear, under-ripe yellow peach, cold clementine orange with medium acidity and slightly dry finish.
A nice bottle; not sure if this wants more time, or a couple years past prime...

BSO soloists tonight are J. Williams Hudgins (vibraphone) & Jessica Zhou (harp), joined by Yo-Yo Ma (cello), Branford Marsalis (saxophone), Eric Revis (bass) and James Taylor (vocals/guitar). A truly wonderful night lay ahead, and my money is certainly on hearing at least one or two Star Wars movements this evening... — 4 years ago
