GSM and the S was co-fermented with Viognier. Classic Southern Rhône, if on the fruitier/jammier side. Very, very nice. — a day ago
Taught and restrained, especially considering Beaune in 2015. Solid texture with red fruit, pleasant acidity, and a soft mineral edge. — 22 days ago
Xavier Vignon thru his relationships in the region found this parcel of wine from a single domaine cellared in a concrete tank for almost 50 years.....impressed with the quality he recently bottled it.
1/2 hour decant. A breathtaking medium tawny red color. On the nose: pure and graceful notes of dried cherry, pine, cinnamon, a dusty old furniture store, floral, and raisins. Taste: A fresh, creamy, medium body wine with dried raspberry (yes there is still some fruit), orange peel, leather, herbs, green olives, crushed gravel, smoked meat, and a dried strawberry cedar medium plus finish. Most amazing we have had this year!! — 22 days ago

The old vines yielded an abundant if not luscious dark fruit, silky tannins, and delightful value wine. Benefits from altitude of vines and a patient winemaker before bottling. This is that under $30 wine that you want in quantity in your box. Buy it now. Thank me later. — 8 days ago
Easter and birthday dinner - notes of cherry, mushroom, some sweet floral. Drier than the 2012 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir we had earlier this year. Soft tannins. — 13 days ago

Polished, elegant, modern and with surprising lightness of touch. Ripe, succulent dark fruit with a hint of kirsch and pinch of exotic spice. But there’s also a savoury, darker backdrop adding complexity.
Very smooth on the palate, impeccably balanced and surprisingly light (vs the 14.5%alc). Delicious to drink, yet I would love to have a bit more interesting edges. — 13 days ago
