@Delectable Wine this is no star regular Auslese. Thanks! Nose is showing age. Apricot, dried apricot, spice, umami. dense and layered, slatey and airy, so expansive, white chocolate. Palate is so rich, ripe and amazing and very very high acidity. That wakes you up. Acid is 11 or 11.5. And this is a freak show. Wow wow wow. Bracing. Unreal intensity. Just stunning and an emotional wine. — 6 months ago
Nose is so complex. Wide open nose of spices, herbs, thyme, rosemary, tarragon, apricot, meyer lemon, so comple, Riesling perfume, also leather and slate. Age has done wonders. Airy minerality as well. What a palate, This is perfect wine. So much going on. Bittersweet cocoa and coffee and also unreal acids and super complex. In the best spot. Umami for lack of a better word on the palate. Long and chewy. Honeyed, Total bee sting on the tongue. Clean and fresh. @Delectable Wine this is the Goldtropfchen Spatlese “Jupp.” Thanks! — 6 months ago
Juicy nose, apricot, but a bit quiet now. Huge power, depth and concentration, grippy and dense, tremendous, higher sugar and high extract, dense, huge acid, love the structure, energetic for days. So so good. Just spectacular. Needs age. But this is as special as it gets. — 6 months ago
@Delectable Wine this is Chardonnay Brut Nature.
What a nose. Buttery, yeasty, floral, slatey, mineral, ripe and rich, 75 months on lees in bottle. Layered aromatic complexity. Juicy, clean, deep and pure, long, layered, rich, inner mouth aromas and incredible depth, fine mousse. Concentrated, deep, structured and so refined. Nice, The aromatic minerality is striking. There is such a terrific mouthfeel and then nice acid cut on the endless finish. I am so impressed. 2016 fruit but labeled NV. This blows me away. The finish is so long and I cannot stop writing about it. — 6 months ago
Wow.
Nose: gorgeous dried peach dried apricot petrol melange.
Palate : inanely delicious. Not cloying. If this is botrytized it’s so clean. Not viscous.
So fresh and clean. Not super oxidized. This is ageing like a motherfucker.
On a penny for pleasure basis one of the greatest wines I’ve ever had.

The new top wine. Floral, layered, spice, smells so deep but also a sense of much more lurking underneath. High toned mid season cherry and red currants. Really elegant and lifted. Elite. Stunning. Then saturates the palate with a level of explosive fruit and the most ripe and velvety tannins. This is best Pinot ever at Spater Veit. Unreal wine and endless finish and wonderful aging potential. Energy and keeps that finish. Genius wine. Best Mosel Pinot Noir I have ever had. Stunning. The fruit is so pure. Inner mouth aromas are stunning. — 6 months ago

Showing so well. Insane spices on the nose that takes you to Morey or Vosne. Gorgeous slate and herbals and wow what insane levels of deep cherries. Gorgeous and in the zone. Palate is juicy and elegant with lively sour cherry and mid season cherry and delightful finesse and complexity. Long finish and lovely palate staining. Really just glorious wine. As this aired it gained some opulence in the mid palate and lovely inner mouth spice aromas. — 3 months ago
