Prior notes apply, but seems to be only 80% of the German Glou-Glou status previously held, before tonight. 🤷‍♂️

Starting off the Thanksgiving week with my in-laws.

Prior notes definitely still apply! This is just the ultimate German Glou-Glou! Note to future self, and any other Fass clients, buy this by the case!

Prior Glou-Glou notes apply. What a delicious Spätburgunder!

Paired alongside duck confit over warm, green lentil salad, delicious.

What a value. Pure, fresh fruit on the nose. Citrus, slate, red cherries, mandarin orange, some spice. Lovely. Palate is ripe and even rich with zesty citrus and floral flavors with barley there tannins and so juicy. German Glou Glou.

Spätburgunder, Piesporter Treppchen.

Nose goes instantly to thoughts of an abundant Beaujolais, intense and juicy cherry, so fresh!!
Palate is all cherry jam, but not too sweet, great mineral linger, no tannins noticable.

Glou-glou! I bought a bunch, but after tasting this, no way will we have enough, damn tasty and crazy bargain, QPR delivered.

2015 Spater-Veit Rotwein Trocken. This bargain basement Spatburgunder is a great buy. Nose has crisp, just ripe cherry and loads of high-toned, almost limestoney, cracked rocks minerality. Nice fruit upfront in the mouth turns savory in the finish. Very nice, crisp acids. Great value.

Not super complex but refreshing. Darker than I expected, in ripeness and on the nose. There’s some blood orange and forest floor and lots of bruised ripe cherries. Slight bit of leather. Blood orange again, vanilla, and pine on the finish. It’s cherry season out there so if everyone wants to keep talking about cherries, go out and follow them throughout the season and cycles of ripeness. There’s some soft but present, fairly fine-grained tannins and a grey stream mineral finish.
