This is a new wine from Salwey, first vintage is 2020. Pure Chardonnay, Burgundian clone.
And a really nice one!
Opens very quiet, quite cool, fresh - with some shy apricot, linden flowers, some herbs in the background. Very elegant.
On the palate this shows wonderful purity and precision. The stony minerality is in the forefront and forms a backbone around which fresh yellow stone fruit and very subtle wood elements gravitate. Juicy and bone dry, this can come across as a bit austere but there’s great depth here, and really nice energy too!

Surprisingly fresh & light for Huber. Fresh earthy dark fruit with hint of mushroom & broth. Light yet not ethaeric, still retaining some down to earth presence.
On the palate really fine, with finely grained polished tannins and great freshness.
This evolved really nicely, reminds me more of Salwey GG. Brilliant wine! — 3 years ago

Elegant aromatics with fine woody aromas, some toast, marcipan, sesame + ripe pear & yellow apple. Beautiful mouthfeel with ripe round fruit, fresh zippy quince acidity and a ginger spiciness towards the finish. Layered, complex but also full of energy & tension. A very fine wine. — 6 years ago

Pinot that is peaking out. Great, red fruited freshness out of the bottle with a very faintly oxidative finish. Second glass is singing with juicy cherry, cranberry, pomegranate, and earth notes. Wine is dying down by the end of the bottle. Purchased for $4 in Kearney, Nebraska.

Medium ruby . Quite exuberant, spiced cherry , strawberry , touch of smokiness . On the palate quite round and rich , juicy sweet red fruits, ripe cherry, raspberry and strawberry jam with enough acidity to balance . Amazing #pinotblanc Considering it's 2015 and it's lively and fresh. Tremendous upside for aging longevity. Tropical notes of firm pineapple (not sweet, think rind). Buzzing acidity with a medium/light palate. Loved the #wine. — 6 years ago
