On open finish is SICK. Sweet minerals. Elegantly tart. Long.
Nose is a stunning floral bouquet. Intoxicating. Intense White flowers. Yellow roses.
Palate is dense but elegantly so. Sprightly minerals tingle the palate. Elegantly rich. Delicious but classy. As it opens classic pfalz Stinging minerality.

Medium gold color - looks rather advanced for its age but smells and tastes divine. Pronounced aromas of bruised apple, lime, lemon, honey, peach, wet stone, acacia, dried apricot and petrol. While marked “trocken” with no indication of ripeness Level there is a hint of botrytis on the nose and the wine at 12%abv is off-dry giving every indication it was at auslese Level when picked. Flavors of honey, peach, lime, lime blossom, acacia, ripe apple, flint with a wonderfully long finish. — 6 years ago

— 9 years ago
Pine cones in winter and ripe red fruit. — 10 months ago
Toasty, rich & broad with toasted sesame, a touch of popcorn reduction, ripe pears on rye toast, a hint of caramel.
On the palate this is juicy, fresh, with zippy acidity, and surprisingly lean & focused.
Delicious with food, esp. smoked fish! so good. — 4 years ago
Drank during Christmas Eve at Rochester. This was wine #1 and I ranked this Riesling 2nd out of 4 — 6 years ago
Gold in color, medium+ viscosity, oxidative notes of almonds, marigold, chamomile, yellow flowers, ripe/overripe apricot. Wasabi, high minerality of slate. No oak, slightly botrytis on the nose. Fruits tarter on the palate, citrus, white peach, no oak, hints of residual sugar but still dry, medium body, high acidity, medium alcohol, long finish. — 6 years ago
