Polished domestic Merlot. Very savory on the nose. Almost classic Bordeaux in style , green olive and olive tapenade. Oregano and thyme with just a hint of oak hut not overly in your face. Beautiful inky hue. Lots of great tannin and acidity on the backbone of this wine. Plenty of room to keep aging. Blackberries and blueberries upfront. Fantastic finish that lingers without feeling big heat. Very well balanced at 14.5% — 3 years ago

Dark fruit with spice and caramel. Took some time to open up and then acid smoothed out leaving a medium jammy finish. Looks heavy in the glass, but nicely balanced nose and lighter palate than expected. — 7 years ago

From Magnum bought at Wally's in LA years ago. Earth and coffee notes. Herbaceous undertones which perhaps disturbed in previous years fully resolved. Still great the next day. Plenty of tannins left for more years to come although i think this wine is at its peak now. Dark tart blackberries and chalk. The 2006 is mostly gone based on wine searcher. — 9 years ago

Im offenausschank und vorher noch auf delectable gecheckt. Bei den noten dachte ich erst dass es nicht ganz der gleiche wein von diesem produzenten sein kann. Nach dem zweiten schluck allerdings schon! Wow! Einfach wow! Feinfruchtig, weisse blüten, birnen, etwas minze, im gaumen weich, rund, südfrüchtig mit leichter mineralität. Hut ab! — 9 months ago

Uncorked a 3L for our dear friends whom just finished building their badass outdoor Tiki hut and bar! Badass tiki deserves a badass wine. This G Major 7 did the trick. Definitely my favorite from the GARGIULO lineup. Smooth as silk with depth of flavor. The blue fruit is prominently displayed which I adore. Oak is nicely integrated. Awesome finish of 60+ seconds. I buy this stuff automatically by the case load every year. What an incredible steadfast Winery they are! Literally never had a bad vintage. Even my 2011’s were rockstars.
