Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Nice aromas and flavors of black fruit, spices and forest floor. Quite savory, fresh and lively. Nicely extended finish. Excellent balance and well structured. Alcohol is in check and there is an elevated level of acidity. Not what I expected. — a month ago
A good Aussie Cabernet. Good but not great. — 7 days ago
From Westside Farms and Rochioli Allen Vineyard sites, medium lemon color, aromas of stone and citrus fruits with floral and nutty notes. On the palate flavors of peach, apricot and pears with honeysuckle, smooth with a nutty creamy texture, lively acidity. Medium+ finish ending with fruit toasty notes and savory citrus mineral character. Nice! — 14 days ago
In keeping with the Aussie theme from a recent Grange dinner (1997-2001, 1998 was the clear winner), this was brought as a starter.
With about 9yrs on it, this is the oldest Leeuwin Art Series Chardonnay I’ve had, and I’m impressed at the evolution. Slightly reductive (sweet smoke) upon opening, but it added great character. Color was a beautiful deep yellow (but not oxidized gold). Tropical (white peach, nectarine) but also honeyed cashews and honeysuckle aromatically. Great depth on the mid-palate with added tropical notes carried by faint oak but a distinct mineral driven finish. Drinking beautifully. Wish I had more. — a month ago
Good nose, medium to full body, malolactic fermentation smooth finish and mild acidity — 25 days ago
Really solid Russian River Chardonnay. The light golden color is inviting and precedes a rather spicy nose with strong lemon and yellow apple aromas. Medium bodied, featuring some VERY apparent ginger, yellow pear, and a light butter. Totally pleasant. — 23 days ago

Ruby/purple color. (Dark for a Pinot Noir) Beautiful dark berry aromas with hints of spices, salami and roasted herbs. Bold on the pallet with bright blackberry and black cherry fruit with notes of baking spices and earth. Great length and balance. Powerful! Tasted this blind with friends and they could not believe that this was a Pinot Noir. Is there another varietal blended in? Regardless, this wine is outstanding! Thanks for the bottle Kasey and Pete! — 7 days ago
