Old style wine
I love the detailed description attached to the neck of the bottle telling you all about the site, the winemaking and how to deal with the wine
This is a Barbacarlo's brother, not minor though
It starts quite fruit orientated, but it does unfold over many hours in the decanter
At first you can mistake it for a robust sparkling shiraz(given that it has a fizz when opened).
Day 2 the blue mineral it's all over and it is smoother and more enjoyable too( the tannin is more digestible too)
Very long and to review again in many years
Ps after a battle in Marengo(Italy) Napoleon stopped by in the area and sipped on this delicious nectar; from there the vineyard hill is also called Napoleon's hill(as well as Montebuono hill). — 3 months ago
Medium deep ruby garnet with reasonably wide garnet rim . Quite aromática with spiced dark cherry , wild strawberry , cacau touches , fresh herbs also . On the palate quite ripe cherry fruit , with quite refreshing acidity , slightly chewy tannins with a bitter touch on the ok finish . Drink now and over the next 3-5 years — 5 months ago
Denso, intenso, fruta muy madura — a month ago
Fruit forward apricot aromas with briny undertones, soft acidity and a rounder structured body with apricot and olives and lingering saline minerality. — 2 months ago
Quite light ruby garnet with wide watery garnet rim . Quite herbal at first with degraded red fruit and with a spicy , old wood note . Quite light on the palate strawberry fruit , herbal tinges , degraded fruits . Ok finish , light tannins . Would drink this over the next couple of years. Quite interesting and refreshing. — 5 months ago

Deep ruby color with a garnet rim; cherries, strawberries, and something floral on the nose; high acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like tart cherries, black pepper, pomegranates, and crushed gravel with a long fruity finish. I love this wine! — 14 days ago
