Flinty, aroma is basically nill. But also I had marinara sauce before, so maybe my senses are all outta whack.
Super elegant vouvray (autocorrect corrected vouvray to “boy rat”... which, why?)
Dry, yes, but balanced with a nicely textured creamy mouthfeel. Chewy. Lemon peel, mangoes, minerals, and even a bit of lychee.

maligned due to the high incidence of premox, I forget how staggeringly great a vintage this was when a bottle has a sound cork. Bought on release for $69.99, this bottle was opened last night and it was magical.
A quarter century old, it could go another decade at this level. The intensity, clarity, depth, finesse—all stunning. It was one of those rare bottles where everything clicked, all in tune, perfectly harmonized.
I realize I’ve written two paragraphs and have said nothing yet about the wine. Bouquet and palate offered a panoply of citrus, fennel, menthol, and mineral flavors, all balanced perfectly on its acid, just resonating.
One of the best whites I’ve had in years. Stunning. Such a shame I’ve poured so many 96s down the drain. — 22 days ago
Dauvissat’s 2011 Clos is in a great place as it enters the early stages of its prime drinking window. It has a really expressive and classic nose of algae, lemon pie, and wet rocks and there’s a nice sea spray salinity on the back end. It’s deep, textured and focused on the palate with good cut and pretty imposing power. Long and persistent finish. It had a 3 hour double decant which definitely helped its great showing. Perfect sushi wine! 🍣 🥰 — 13 days ago

Love this vineyard, Vincent and team rock. This wine is delicious, refined with a wonderful finish and fruit that goes on for yards!!! Enjoy!! — 19 hours ago
Very expressive aromas of flowers, some herbal notes, clearly whole clusters and a lot of fruit that we find also on the palate that is round, fairly supple of medium body at the most, nicely balanced, a few years in the cellar will do this wine so good but it is very enjoyable now. 89-90
Un nez très expressif, vendanges entieres, floral et herbacé, du fruit à revendre tout comme en bouche, qui est assez ronde et souple, bel équilibre, un bon vin qui pourra se conserver quelques années mais agréable en ce moment. 89-90

Wildly over delivers based on its historically unimpressive appellation. Has all of the components of high quality Chablis. Concentrated, balanced and bright…everything in the right place. — a month ago
