2009 vintage - huge cuts through any food dish with a vengeance great fruit earthy can possibly age forever — 11 years ago
Unbeatable location and excellent wine list, this one jumped off the page at us. Not surprising as it was our wine of the year in 2022. It’s back with a vengeance in 2024, into the #1 spot again. Smooth, almost creamy, with classic dark fruits (cherry), dark chocolate and earthy, leathery finish. Perfect with our Chateaubriand 👌🏼 — 2 years ago

At first, painfully tannic. Decanted for about 4 hours and it became a little softer while maintaining the beautiful aromatics, and lessening the attack of the medicinal cherry. On the finish are florals and leather with tannins returning with a vengeance. It may be hard to tell, but I loved it. — 9 years ago
Opens up with dust and stewed fruit (but not yet "prune-y") and hints of spice. In the mouth, dark and broody. With that dust and spice coming back with a vengeance on the finish. Mouth-dryingly tannic still and yet oh-so-velvety-smooth! — 9 years ago
A dusty Clint Eastwood rides a horse made of cranberry Jolly Ranchers into a pink sunset, following a stagecoach trail, squinting towards a future full of vengeance. — 10 years ago

I’ve always been a big Lambrusco fan, and at times that set me at odds with some friends who would find Lambrusco too sweet or too frizzy (read Fanta-like). I feel like this wine is my vengeance. Gorgeous, dry Lambrusco, feels like you’re biting into a plum but without the sugar. Am buying two to keep! — 6 years ago

A bit flat on opening. Mouthfeel is great with up front fruit but not too much tannins. On day 2 it came with a vengeance with lots Of character and varying mid palate for a better dryer finish. — 10 years ago
Blanched almond, candied lemon zest, white peach confit, and beeswax outer layer suggest a sense of stability and maturity garnered through age and experience. All the while, brooding beneath, rage-filled, aggressive, saber-sharp acidity plots vengeance and destruction. I'll call this one; "The Fifth Year Divorcé" — 11 years ago
