Canberra Shiraz 2012

Lovely aromatics - typical spicy peppery cool climate Canberra District Shiraz. Some meaty notes. Light to medium weight palate with medium intensity. Like a detuned Cote Rotie. Perfect accompaniment to Chicken Legs. — 14 days ago

Canberra District Viognier 2014

Very pale Lemon in colour. Small oak influence on the nose with some nutty aromas. On the palate great texture, mouthfeel and balance- some pear and a touch of honey. Excellent new world Viognier without the concentration of a top shelf Condrieu. — a month ago

Single Vineyard HVD Hunter Sémillon 2011

It is rare that I have the opportunity to drink an Australian semillon and I have no one to blame but myself. I was first exposed to these gems at the Barossa Valley restaurant, Appellation.
A dominant nose of marzipan soars from the glass. Intense flavors of green apple, apricots and lime reverberate in the mouth. The only complaint I had was the short to medium finish.

@Ira Schwartz @Peter van den Besselaar 2011 was a good year for Hunter Valley Semillon Ira but 2014 possibly even better and 2017. You and Peter keep an eye out for Tyrrells Vat 1, Mount Pleasant Lovedale and Brokenwood ILR. All these will live 15 to 20 years.

Bin 7855 Hunter Valley Sémillon 1991

Lime jelly, lemongrass, oxidized apple(reminds me of a Haut-Brion blanc), toasty, honeyed, lanolin, white flower and much more
Neverending after taste
At peak, but standing where it is
I am astonished 🙏🙏

Rose, cranberry, cherry, green coffee, açaí smell, acidic, raspberry, some cherry cranberry, tangy oak slight vanilla, the bite gets rough and leads a wet acidic wood that is great for grilled strong foods — 3 days ago

Canberra District Riesling 2009

Lemon in colour. On the nose white florals with Kerosene notes. On the palate pristine with peachy notes and citric acid. Clean as a whistle. Canberra District is a proven area for very good Riesling - think Helm. Very much a cool climate area. I will have the last one in a year or two by which time it may have developed some honey and toast characters. — a month ago

Handcrafted Wallenstein Shiraz 2017

I believe this is actually Heslop not Hestop
That aside, a great Shiraz from a small family run vineyard.
