Château La Tour Haut-Brion

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 1990

Dark rubi robe with bricky tears. Nose of secondary and tertiary notes, tobacco, asphalt, cedar, and a hint of dark berries. Medium bodied, a bit off in the finish, but really good bottle and we still have a couple more left :)

Marie-Laure Lurton

La Tour de Bessan Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

2022 vintage. Dark red, much deeper colour than usual for this estate. Marie-Laure Lurton seems to have gone for a bit more extraction in this exceptional vintage. More powerful than usual, with a fresh black fruit personality, embedded in a tight, ripe tannic structure. Serious length too. Decanting recommended,as it showed better the next day. Ab. 14%. — 2 months ago

Domaine de la Tour du Bon

Bandol Grenache Blend Rosé 2023

Some white peach, almond, subtle plum skin. If you don’t see the color, it drinks surprisingly close to a southern Italian white like Greco di tufo — 4 months ago

9.1

First taste!? Mature with a bit of bricking but still nice solid color and bouquet of mature red fruits and earth. Velvety and enticing on palate. Excellent with Evan’s Shanghainese pork belly. 51/43/4/2 Merlot/Cab/CabFranc/Petit Verdot on label from Bernard Magrez touting same attention as his Pape Clement, and long history dating back to 1120. Importer label says 37/55/6/2 instead! (Oldest in Medoc, 1400 by house of Foix loyal to King of England. 1486 Camet new owner. 1500s by Michel de Montaigne.) — a month ago

Domaine La Tour Vieille

Rimage Banyuls Grenache

Deep Ruby with aromas of dried fruits and sweet notes. On the palate flavors of dried apricot and blackberry, well balanced with lively acidity, full-bodied, good structured. Long finish, smooth tannins ending with cacao and rich sweet fruit tones. Very nice! — 4 months ago
